Hamilton's Tented Camp in the Kruger Park
Travel back in time
Hamilton’s tented camp in the Kruger National Park is awash with early 19th-century nostalgia, from its old steamer trunks and pith helmets to its antique bathroom basins and hurricane lanterns, Hamilton’s is one of the best-tented safari camps in South Africa and is a tribute to the generation whose vision has resulted in the conservation of one of Africa’s prime wilderness areas, without compromising on modern-day comforts and luxuries.
Hamilton’s Tented Camp in the Kruger Park is built entirely of canvas and is set amidst age-old Jackalberry and Sausage trees, with high wooden platforms linking six elevated tents.
Hamilton’s treat guests to stunning views of the Nwatswitsonto River and offers the opportunity as its sister lodge Imbali Safari Lodge to enjoy spectacular wildlife and bird-life sightings. Your encounter with the Kruger bush truly is up close and personal.
Hamilton’s safari tented camp in the Kruger National Park not only represents a little slice of history. It guarantees a private, exclusive bushveld escape, unfettered by unnecessary modern interruptions and authentic in every way.
Reminiscent of an ‘Out of Africa’ experience, a stay at Hamilton’s Tented Camp in the Kruger Park is one that will remain etched in memory. Much like the contribution the lodge’s namesake, James Stevenson-Hamilton, who made the Kruger National park that Hamilton’s camp now calls home, more than a century on.
