PREDATOR PICTURES

This small portfolio of predator pictures is taken from many of the images currently in my gallery pictures of predator animals, mainly from Africa.

Africa, of course, has many carnivores and provides many opportunities to photograph some of the world’s apex predators. From those we traditionally know, like the big cats we see during a safari on the savanna’s, to the crocodiles of the rivers and dams.  Smaller mammals like the ferocious mongooses or insects like the deadly praying mantis also deserve such recognition to be included in any portfolio of predator animal images.

Definition of a Predator

Predation is a biological interaction where one organism, the predator, kills and eats another organism, its prey.
